2025 Victorian State Championships Regatta
These results follow on from the excellent results ERC had at the Rowing Victoria State Championship Regatta a few weeks ago! The club finished second overall at the Regatta, with 11.75 Gold Medals, 9 Silver and 8 Bronze! It was awesome to see the whole club perform well at the regatta, and to see the whole club celebrate each other's wins together!
Well done and congratulations to the whole club for your efforts at the regatta, and to the coaches and rowers who won medals at the Regatta!
Victorian Rowing Team
It is with great pleasure that we can announce that we have had 3 members be selected to represent Rowing Victoria this season!
Well done to Elissa Mirabelli, Christine Camiller and Rhett Spiller for their selections. Elissa has secured a seat in the Victorian Lightweight Female Quad, with Rhett coaching this boat and Christine has been selected for the Victorian Masters Female Quad.
The Interstate Lightweight Women's Quadruple Scull will be raced by Elissa at 1:55pm on Sunday 30/03, as part of the Australian Rowing Championships Regatta, while Christine will race at the Australian Master's Rowing Championships in a few weeks.
Good luck to those who have been selected to represent the Big V!
I would also like to shout out all our athletes and coaches who nominated to represent Victoria that were unfortunately not successful. Keep up your hard work and training and have a go again next year!
Club Renovations
The time is finally here, we have a date for a club opening!
The 10th of April will be the Bar and Changerooms Opening night, to commence at 6pm.
We will be putting on a Thursday Night Dinner that night and will have a large contingent of VIPs (from both ERC and Moonee Valley City Council) on site for the event! The event will celebrate opening of the renovated upstairs area, and will include some formalities before dinner.
Please come down to the club for the momentus occasion!
So we can understand attendance numbers better, if you are able to register your interest via the link below, that would be great!

Rowers Survey
The 2024-25 Rowers Survey was sent out last week. It would be great to get everyone's feedback on the season thus far, so if you haven't yet, and you have a spare few minutes please complete it!
The survey is optional and completely anonymous. It is focused on understanding our rowers more and understanding how we can support all our rowers through the 2025-26 season.
ERC By-Laws
The ERC Committee recently approved updates to the ERC By-Laws. Please read and familiarise yourself with these. All updates have been side barred to identify the change.
Raleigh Rd Bridge Works
Please note there is ongoing bridge works at the Raleigh Rd bridge, which is impacting accessiblity down stream. There remains access through the bridge, however this is limited to please proceed carefully when passing under the bridge.
Safety Note from The Captain's Team
We would like to remind rowers how important it is to keep a close watch of the local weather prediction forecast prior to on water training.
It is a good habit to use weather apps or check the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM) website when in doubt of the weather conditions.
Please note, if there is any chance of lightning during a rowing session then you are not to proceed with any on water training. Move indoors for a gym or erg session.
Please stay safe and enjoy your rowing experience!
All the best in the rest of your training going forward, and we are looking forward to seeing everyone around the Club soon!
Thanks,
Luke Mascaro
