Covid-19 Update - Bar and Functions Area
Published Wed 04 Nov 2020
Preparations are almost complete for the Essendon Rowing Club Bar/Hospitality area to reopen for members.
We are hoping to reopen this today (04/11/20) and tomorrow (05/11/20) from 5pm to 8.30pm with two defined areas and guest numbers restricted to a maximum of 10 people in each area. The reopening is a trial period in preparation for the expected easing of restrictions to be announced next week.
As the bar has been shut down for many months due to COVID restrictions, a small team has been active behind the scenes to make the return trouble free for all. I wish to take this opportunity to thank John Haag, Peter Gray, Judy Armstrong, Glenn Bottrell, Dale Bell, Narelle Fewster, Lisa Gandolfo for their efforts. Our marshal for the trial will be Mark Dwyer.
Guests will be required to comply with the COVID-Safe plan and includes the following requirements:
- Do not attend the club if you have any COVID symptoms or have had close contact with a COVID positive person
- Financial members only
- All guests of members are to sign in/out
- Practice social distancing - 1.5m separation
- Observe good personal hygiene through washing hands 20 seconds and use hand sanitisers
- Wear face masks when required
- Practice COVID-safe hygiene with washing hands and using hand sanitiser
- Access to toilets is permitted
- Enter through the front door and stairwell only.
This will be our first opportunity for the club to reengage after a long time of being away and to prepare for a busy period when restrictions further ease.
Please feel free to contact Tim if you have any issues or concerns.
Yours in rowing
