School Rowing Programs

Essendon Rowing Club can offer a tailor made learn to row program for your school. Currently both Penleigh and Essendon Grammar School and Penola Catholic College utilise the club for their school rowing programs.

Rowing is a great way to introduce confidence in, on and around water. As a low impact sport rowing has the capacity to develop and increase cardiovascular and muscular endurance, flexibility and strength. Additionally, it is unique in its ability to enhance important life skills including discipline, self-confidence, teamwork and camaraderie. Plus it is a lot of FUN.

Why you should chose the Essendon Rowing Club for your school

  • Quiet and safe stretch of river
  • Floating Staging for safe access to the water
  • Skilled coaches
  • Ample equipment available
  • Large Clubhouse with parking available for school buses

Essendon also has the facilities to host schools looking to row on a more permanent basis.
