After the announcement from the State Government on Sunday, the following update regarding the latest ease of COVID restrictions are now in effect for ERC and its members.
ERC is proud to announce that as restrictions ease, we are now able to have Open Day at ERC, which will include the christening of the Brett Nicholson double scull.
As you may be aware, Rowing Victoria has worked hard to get us back on the water. However it hasn't stopped there! RV have recently released a regatta calendar up to the weekend of the December 5th, with regattas held in both regional and metro Melbourne!
Preparations are almost complete for the Essendon Rowing Club Bar/Hospitality area to reopen for members.
We are hoping to reopen this today (04/11/20) and tomorrow (05/11/20) from 5pm to 8.30pm with two defined areas and guest numbers restricted to a maximum of 10 people in each area. The reopening is a trial period in preparation for the expected easing of restrictions to be announced next week.
Our return to rowing has started in earnest with 2 off scullers seen making their way down river towards Footscray at 5:30am this morning. Â
As a reminder, members may attended the club for rowing in crew boats with no restriction on numbers other than 10 maximum people in the boat shed. Guidelines for rowers, coaches, parents and clubs can be located on the RV website.
